Line EDS Cloud Instructions
To connect your Line EDS Cloud to the Scout platform, follow these three steps:
- Make sure your device version is equal to or higher than version 2.4.4. You can download the latest version from here.
- Enable the communication channel with Scout (Ethernet, WiFi, etc.).
- Properly configure the devices you want to monitor from Line EDS Cloud.
- Activate the connection between Line EDS Cloud and Scout. Check the manual for more details about each step.
1. Enable the communication channel with Scout
- Access the device’s web server.
- In the left sidebar menu, go to the Configuration section, under the Communication tab.
- Enable the communication channel you will use (Ethernet, WiFi, etc.).
2. Configure the devices to be controlled with Line EDS Cloud
-
Upload your device's profile from the Profiles section in the right sidebar menu. You can find the appropriate profile on the Line EDS Cloud Profiles page.
-
Add your device as a Device in the Devices section and assign the corresponding profile.
-
Add the required periodic readings for that device.
Download profiles:
- Network analyzers
- Input and output concentrators
- LM-D44 (driver compatible exclusively with volume measurements)
- Metering
- Residual current protection
Note
The option to send maximum, minimum, and average values is only intended for devices without historical data. Devices with historical data already calculate these values internally, so there’s no need to delegate this task to Line EDS Cloud.
Line EDS Cloud includes predefined read commands with the most common variables:
- Device0_Measures: All device metrics
- Device0_MeasuresL1: L1 metrics
- Device0_MeasuresL2: L2 metrics
- Device0_MeasuresL3: L3 metrics
- Device0_MeasuresTot: Total metrics (energy, power, etc.)
3. Enable the connection with Scout
- In the left sidebar menu, go to the Exports section.
- Add a new Export, selecting Scout as the export format.
The necessary parameters will be filled in automatically.
All set! Your device is now sending data to Scout. The only step left is to add it to your project.
Follow the instructions in the Add Devices section to complete the process.
